BIO:
I am Vivian Chiamaka Ezeh, a Chemical Engineering graduate from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, with an interest in renewable energy and energy access. Growing up in Nigeria, power outages were so common, and that experience made me interested in finding ways to provide reliable electricity.
I’ve been learning more about renewable energy since university and figuring out how my Chemical Engineering background can fit into the field. I completed the Renewable Energy Specialization from the University of Colorado Boulder and have been learning how data and machine learning can be applied to energy systems. I am currently working on a 10 MW solar-to-hydrogen system design, exploring how renewable electricity can support hydrogen production.
I joined AFYEL because I want to learn from experts working in the energy sector, deepen my knowledge, and also understand how I can contribute to Africa’s energy future.
